Hi, I'm Nicole
I'm here to help you thrive with Parkinson’s
Why I created Parkinson’s Empowered
Perhaps you’re still processing the words "Parkinson's disease", wondering what comes next. Or maybe you were diagnosed months or even years ago, and you know you need some additional support.
You're looking at a stack of exercise pamphlets wondering where to start, or you've tried different approaches but still find yourself asking: Am I doing enough? Am I doing the right things?
The personal story behind Parkinson’s Empowered
I’ve been present in countless conversations like these with my clients, and I’ve lived them alongside someone I loved. My grandpa Russ had Parkinson's, and I witnessed the slow retreat from activities he cherished, the frustration when his body wouldn't cooperate, and the gradual loss of the vibrant man who played such a big role in my childhood. He was always there for school field trips, camping adventures, and afternoons at the park. His wit and presence are still with me every day and he remains my inspiration for this work.
What I’ve discovered
Over twelve-plus years working alongside people with neurological conditions has taught me that moments of intense uncertainty frequently become pivotal turning points. It’s where people discover just how resilient and capable they truly are and where they realise they still get to decide what comes next.
How we work together
When you join Parkinson's Empowered, you're not getting another list of exercises to do occasionally. You're guided by someone who recognises that some days tremors make simple everyday tasks difficult, fatigue can hit like a wave, and motivation ebbs and flows like the tide.
We start where you are. Whether you're struggling to know where to begin, finding it hard to stay consistent or working to maintain your independence for years to come, you’ll get support that’s practical and built to last.
Build a personalised approach to strengthen three essential areas:
Evidence-based movement to work with your lifestyle and capabilities.
A resilient mindset that keeps you motivated and confident.
Practical tools to support consistency even on tough days.

Balance
Finding balance in the everyday
When I'm not working, you'll find me chasing my three kids, walking on the beach, or collapsing gratefully into a chair with a good book and a glass of wine. I love being in the water, whether it’s for a swim, a game of water polo, or just floating for a moment of calm. It’s my reset button.
My life, like yours, is beautifully imperfect. Full of moments when I need to adjust my plans, when energy runs low, and when I have to choose progress over perfection. I practice what I teach because I believe in living fully, not perfectly. And I believe the same is possible for you.
This journey with Parkinson's isn't the path you planned, but it doesn't have to be one you walk alone. If you're ready to write a new chapter, I'm here to help you turn the page.
